Noble power and poetry
Ludwig van BEETHOVEN Piano Concerto No.3
Edward ELGAR Symphony No.2
Asher Fisch conductor
Behzod Abduraimov piano
Some of the most soulful of all Beethoven’s music is found in his ever-popular piano concertos. With great beauty and harmony, classical music’s most famous radical delivers an elegant contrast of power and poetry in his Third Piano Concerto. We are thrilled to welcome back the exceptional pianist Behzod Abduraimov to perform this perennial favourite.
Elgar’s Second Symphony is a breathtaking work of noble lyricism, aching tenderness and visionary power, whose full radiance and majesty will be revealed by Asher Fisch.
